Firefighter Apparatus and Emergency Equipment in Erie, PA
The Kearsarge Fire Department in Erie, PA has a variety of firefighter apparatus and emergency equipment. We staff a regional rapid intervention team/firefighter assist and a search team (RIT/FAST). This trained and dedicated group of volunteer firefighters responds to emergency scenes in case firefighters become trapped and need to be rescued.
Our current fleet of firefighting, rescue and EMS apparatus includes:
- Tower 449 – 2018 Pierce Ascendant 107' Ladder Truck. 1500 GPM PUC Pump. 500g water with 20g class A foam
- Rescue 444 – 2009 Precision Rescue Pumper with a 1,500 gallon-per-minute pump, Holmatro Rescue
tools and a 40 gallon Class B foam cell - Rescue 448 – 2021 Pierce Ford F-550 Light Rescue
- Utility 447 – 2014 Ford Police Interceptor SUV
We are also proud part-owners of the Millcreek Paramedic Service, who provides advanced life support emergency medical services for the fire district. Our volunteer firefighters respond to over 1,000 emergency calls a year including medical assists, motor vehicle accidents, automatic alarms, fires, and other miscellaneous emergencies throughout Millcreek Township and Erie, PA.
